How do I find somebody to swap with? This is the beauty of JollySwap.com – you don’t need to. By depositing a week into the system you can choose from all the holiday homes other members have deposited.

I want to go to a larger villa? No problem at all. A week deposited entitles you to a week in a like-for-like holiday home. However, if you have a 2-bedroom bungalow (2 credits) and wish to go to a 5-bedroom villa (4 credits) just deposit 2 weeks of your bungalow and away you go (please see credit table).

How does the credits table work?

2 credit(s) – 2/3-bed apartment
3 credit(s) – 3/4-bed villa (detached)
4 credit(s) – 5-bed+ villa (detached)

You also get double credits for depositing a week in peak periods (any weeks commencing 17th July to 24th August and any weeks commencing 19th December to 30th December).

Why have a credits system?
The credits system has been devised so that members don’t have to take a like-for-like holiday if they don’t wish to. If it was a straight swap, regardless of size, we wouldn’t attract larger villas as it wouldn’t be in their interests to swap.

What do you charge?
All you pay is your exchange fee of £69 once you book your holiday home.

Are there any other hidden fees or charges?
No. There are no membership fees, visitor fees or depositing fees.
We have an optional Platinum Club Membership that costs £20 per year.

What is Platinum Club Membership?
Platinum Club allows the member to request holiday destinations with JollySwap.com. We will then search the database and come back with matches. If there are no matches, we will actively target that location via our telemarketing department. When a property gets deposited that matches the request the Platinum Member will be emailed immediately to alert them.

In addition, Platinum Members get a £10 reduction on late availability exchanges where the booking is less than 2 months before the date of the holiday.

How do I know my holiday home will be in good hands?
Your home will be a lot safer when occupied by fellow holiday homeowners than if you were renting it out to via a rental site or left empty.
All tenants are registered JollySwap.com members who own holiday homes themselves and understand the importance of looking after a holiday home.

How long does membership last?
Membership is indefinite, however, the member can terminate membership in writing at any time. Platinum Club membership is renewable on an annual basis.

What is the minimum/maximum time I can deposit?
All deposits have to be in whole weeks. The minimum deposit is 1 week. There is no maximum number of weeks you can deposit. You may deposit weeks together or separately.

How many holidays can I book in a year?
There is no limit on the number of holidays you book. You do need to have enough credits to book a holiday home.

What happens if I cancel my holiday after I have paid for it?
You lose the exchange fee. Depending on the circumstances we will redeem the credits.

How far in advance can I deposit a week?
You can deposit weeks anytime from 3 months to 2 years in advance.

Can I get my week back for my own use after I have deposited it with JollySwap.com?
If you have deposited a week with us that has not been booked by another member, we will allow you to take this week back in exchange for another week.

What happens if nobody books my property?
If nobody books your deposited weeks you will need to re-deposit weeks to get your credits back.

Do you have any restrictions on what I can book?
No. You can book any property on the system as long as you have the number of credits required for that property.

I am a timeshare owner. Can I join JollySwap.com?
No. JollySwap.com is for holiday homeowners only.

Can I exchange my own home?
No. JollySwap.com deals only in holiday homes.

Will you pass my details on to any other company?
No. JollySwap.com totally respects the privacy of its customers.

Is there a minimum standard for private holiday homes?
To become a JollySwap.com member you must comply to these minimum standards:
Your property must be entirely self-contained
It must have a kitchen and private bathroom
It must have a local management company looking after the property
It must be in a clean and comfortable condition
It must be available for holiday use

How do I get a double credit for a high season week?
If you deposit a week commencing from 17th July to 24th August or 19th to 30th December you get double the credits you would normally get for your accommodation. We do not use different High Seasons for different locations. The majority of our owners are British residents and this is the main holiday season for British Schools etc.

What about out-of-season weeks?
We are well aware that some resorts have out-of-season weeks where the resort is effectively closed. We are also aware that some people like to visit resorts completely out-of-season for longer periods of time. In order to deposit out-of-season weeks you will need to deposit 4 consecutive weeks to earn a weeks credit for the size of your holiday home.

How do you determine an out-of-season week?
An out-of-season week is when the resort is effectively closed. When you deposit a week you will be asked if it is out-of-season. If you reply ‘yes’ then you will get ¼ of your weekly credit per week with a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks deposited. We rely on our members’ honesty however we do monitor weeks and if any member is found advertising a week as not out-of-season when it is then their membership will be cancelled.

How long do I have to 'spend' my credits?
Your credits must be spent within two years. You can save up your credits for a larger holiday home if you wish. Your family and friends can use your credits with your permission.

Can I book a week for family/friends to use?
Yes, however, the holiday will be booked in your name and you will be solely responsible for their actions whilst on holiday.
